In the previous article I told you about ways to improve your blogging. This time it is about how to make blogging popular in general.

Get rid off all them dead blogs

According to the Technorati data there are half a million blogs out there. “Wowie! So blogging is popular. What are you talking about?”, you might fink. Fink again, first because 86% percent of all these blogs are dead blogs. And I am talking about blogging, i.e. the actual posts on a blog, i.e. the frequent updates. What that means is:

Blogging is not popular, but it is popular to open up a blog and not updating it in years.

Hell, I know that is not easy to provide quality content all the time. Twittering is not a solution. Instead try to link to interesting websites (like mine) and get rid off your dead blog.

Don’t say fuck! Say blog!

As I have showed before: Blogging is not very popular. So what to do? I tell ya: We have to make it popular just like Google made Google popular. We simply replace an important word in the language:

Nobody searches the internet anymore. Everybody googles!

It’s easy: As you start using the words, others will too. And some time people will go around saying things like:

“Look at this blogging loser!”

“That is blogging insane!”

“What the blog do you want?”

So what the blog do I want? I want you to fink about it!

Don’t say think! Say FINK!

What makes a blog really readable? Consider what you like:

Ø A witty style?

Ø Complete honesty?

Ø Freebies?

Ø How to’s / Tutorials to learn from?

Ø Fighting commenters?

As for me I consider myself to be a freebie hunter. Wherever there are icons or great themes you may download, this is where you will find me. I am certainly not one of the people that go through any tutorial or fighting with other commenters, or do I (Bring It on! [Link to: your honest opinion])?

The thing that makes a blog well-known is a certain gimmick you have on your site. It may be a very unique logo or an intriguing article. It may be your very personal writing style or the freebies you have to offer.

The fink-pun gimmick certainly is the way this blog will go on and how often I fink can be read on the bottom of the page.

Thanks for reading!
